I'll bet you've never seen an act of healing such as the one I'm about to share. Never.
We've talked about healing through art. Most recently, we've shown how two contestants on a reality-show competition demonstrated healing through the art of dance-- healing of the dancers, the judges and the audience.
Today's post offers a link to another reality show, this time a Ukrainian talent contest. For 8 minutes and 33 seconds, you can watch one contestant demonstrate healing through an art medium I've never experienced before: sand and music.
A common theme shared by dance and sand-art healing is that oftentimes change cannot be undone and loss cannot be regained. In these cases, healing does not involve repairing what went wrong (or is going wrong). Today's link illustrates through both the artist's performance AND the audience's reaction how healing can take place even when you can't fix what's been lost. You:
- experience and express the pain of grief (let tears fall)
- learn to accept and adjust to unwanted change and loss (wipe away tears still on face)
- embrace and celebrate life, changed as it is (stand up and applaud).
I try not to be too pushy, but I urge you to flag this post so you can come back to it when you have time to escape your daily life and experience 8 1/2 minutes of healing through sand and music.

Wendy, where is the link to the Sand and Music healing?
