I wrote, "I'm glad the article came out, because an existing problem is exposed. Standards and oversight will improve, making radiation even safer than it is now."

As a Healthy Survivor, I think about things one way when concerned for myself. And I think about them another way when considering the bigger picture -- my family and friends, all patients, all future patients.
For now, I feel reassured that the vast majority of patients receive the right amount of radiation, and I'll get the right amount when I need radiation. Now that existing problems have been exposed, the odds are going to get even better over time.
