This post is set to go live right after midnight. Why? So I can begin celebrating on time, even while I'm sleeping.
When I wake up on October 18th, I'll be 56 years old.
Too old to die young.
Proud of -- and grateful for -- my age.
Who knows? Maybe the best is yet to come.
Although I don't believe in superstitions, I feel a special "something" on the 18th of October. I wrote about superstitions and Healthy Survivorship in a column entitled "Opal." To read, Click Here

Happy Birthday! Glad you've disproved the adage about the good. I hope that you have a wonderful day and enjoy the celebration-filled year ahead.

As my 94-year-old mother says, "Happy, Healthy, and Lucky!" She also calls us to sing Happy Birthday, but my voice would ruin your celebration :)

Happy Birthday! As for the superstitions, maybe it's a bit like the smoking for the miners...something to hold onto, too much to let go of.
First cancer at age 24, I am now 67 and a half! Retired! Proud and very grateful.
