It is true that cancer rehab is needed even with survivors in treatment. I fell and broke my hip last year, so a physical rehab was ordered. In May of 2010, I started experiencing depression and instead of working to develop a physical plan to motivate myself, I spent a lot of time in my bed. Even my hematologist said, if I would increase my mobility, even things such as the way the chemotherapy drugs work in my body would improve. As a nurse, I know this to be true. As a survivor I also know when I was outside and walking more....I felt better. Thank you Dr Wendy.
