I have an idea for a beautiful way to honor special people in your life: Silver ribbons inscribed with their names.
What about loved ones you've lost? Keep their memory alive with inscribed Gold ribbons.
When I first came up with the idea to make a flag for the 2005 Dallas Lymphomathon, I didn't foresee how writing a name on a ribbon could mean so much to so many, including me. I shared my experience in an essay: Flag of Names
Please, please, please...consider honoring special people in your life with ribbons for the 2012 Flag of Names to be carried on May 5 at the Dallas Lymphomathon.
For each $25 donation you make to the Lymphoma Research Foundation in support of Wendy's Eagles, I will inscribe a ribbon with the name of your special person. It's easy:
To donate online, go to http://tinyurl.com/WendysEagles2012.
To donate by mail, make your check out to the Lymphoma Research Foundation and mail it to me at: PO Box 835574 Richardson, TX 75083-5574.
Don't forget to submit the name(s) of your special someone(s) to me via email: harpham@tx.rr.com or mail (PO Box, above).
Who do you want to honor? A loved one? A friend? A doctor or nurse? A veteran? A personal hero? You?

What a wonderful idea! Tangible evidence of others honoring others. Strength in numbers for all to behold. Personally satisfying to call out honorees--living or not. Demonstrating the power of one. Love it!
