This post is set to go live at the same time my husband and I have the honor and privilege of taking a short trip packed with joy and hope: We are walking our middle child, Jessica, down the aisle to be wed to the love of her life, Benedict.
Wedding Wishes
May your marriage be your safe haven.
An intimate, sacred space.
Built on trust. Imbued with compassion.
A wellspring of strength and grace.
May your marriage be a work in progress,
whate’er the length of your days.
Read between the lines. Listen to the pauses.
Be ready to try new ways.
May your marriage reflect the miracle:
Two souls uniting in love.
Each one complete. Yet, now, even more,
with blessings from God above.
May your marriage scatter love in its wake,
with seeds of hope and laughter.
May the happiness of one be the joy of the other,
as you wed and ever after.

Wendy,
Beautiful and wonderful words for the start of a journey like no other. Some day I may ask to borrow your words for my Jessica. All the best to all of you.

Dear Dr. Harpham,
Fourteen years ago I wrote to you after I was diagnoised with non-hodgkins lymphoma. I read diagnosis: Cancer 5 times. I had a 14 year old daughter at the time of my diagnosis and read all about your 3 children. I worried as you did about being around to raise our precious children. Congratulations on the recent wedding of your daughter. She was a beautiful bride. I will be purchasing your book on Healthy Survivorships. I have had 5 recurrances and have had Ritoxin and Fluderabe sp? twice. I look forward to reading your book and wish you many great years and memories with your family and friends.
Sincerely,
Barbara Morytko

Thank you all for your good wishes.
Many people who generously helped my family over the years of my illness were with us to witness the union and celebrate together. Life is good.
With gratitude and joy, Wendy
